St. Kathrein Chapel

There is hardly another place quite so romantic in the nearby area of Josef Mountain Resort as the small St. Kathrein chapel. It is, so to speak, the landmark of the town of Avelengo and is still open for visits. The small church dates back to the 13th Century and the inside hosts well conserved frescos. We would highly recommend taking a walk on sunny day from the town of Avelengo along a small path through the woods which leads to St. Kathrein Chapel.
